– Sentient beings crave happiness but do not seek the human path.

Taishang Laojun convened the gods in the Golden Hall of the Taiqing Realm, including the Five Elder Emperors, the Dou Jun, and the Nine Heavens Divine Lords, and announced to them the profound teachings of the 'Wu Dou Jin Zhang Shou Sheng Jing'. He explained the formation of the universe and the origin of human life, as well as the relationship between human destiny and the karmic consequences of good and evil. He mentioned that human life is influenced by the yin and yang of heaven and earth and the true qi of the five elements. Based on different birth times and natal Yuan Chen, people are divided into five categories governed by the East, South, Central, West, and North Dou, each bestowing specific five-element true qi upon birth. Finally, Taishang Laojun emphasized that good deeds bring auspiciousness, while evil deeds incur disaster, and pointed out that all karmic destinies depend on individual merit.

Beneath Mount Shanjia in the Pure Bright Land of the Floating World, the Heavenly Lord Lingbao gathered with numerous divine beings. There was a True Person named Guang Miaoyin, who was perplexed by the karmic consequences of beings' good and evil deeds and sought guidance from the Heavenly Lord.

The Celestial Venerable explained that all sentient beings had borrowed from the treasury of birth debts in the underworld before reincarnation, and these loans would affect their financial situation throughout their lives. If the debts were not repaid, it would lead to poverty and hardship. The Celestial Venerable pointed out that the Treasure Tree is a karmic mirror that reflects the consequences of good and evil deeds. If people respectfully honor the Three Jewels, perform good deeds to accumulate good affinities, or chant prayers according to the scriptures and repay their debts, they will receive wealth and happiness.

The Celestial Venerable continued to explain the relationship between human birth and the underworld's treasury, and provided relevant information for different zodiac signs. He also revealed the names of the respective Yuan Chen and the monetary amounts for each zodiac sign.

The Celestial Venerable told all beings that if they believe and follow the teachings of the scriptures, offer wealth, establish temples according to the scriptures, cultivate and practice, and burn and repay the 'Shou Sheng Qian' they owe, they will receive blessings and noble rewards in their next life, and will never suffer pain again. However, if anyone disbelieves or commits evil deeds, they will fall into the cycle of suffering and reincarnation.
