Tian Kuang Festival - Sending Away Poverty and Replenishing Wealth

The sixth day of the sixth lunar month is the opening of the Heavenly Gates, also known as the Tian Kuang Festival. Opening the Heavenly Gates refers to the 'Southern Heavenly Gate opening wide.' At that time, it was popularly believed that when the Southern Heavenly Gate opened, the heavens would bestow many rare treasures upon the people of the world. Therefore, believers would pray to the heavens on this day for wealth and to replenish their wealth reserves.

In addition, the Southern Heavenly Gate opens wide, symbolizing that the Jade Emperor opens the Heavenly Gates to widely accept the prayers of mortals. If you submit a memorial to the Jade Emperor on this day, praying to him for the removal of disasters and difficulties, and for blessings and prosperity, it will be twice as effective with half the effort.
